D6.2 Risk Assessment and Contingency plan - Executive summary

The present deliverable describes the methodology to be used in the ToughSteel project to identify and evaluate the risk of occurrence of adverse situations which can negatively affect the outcome of the project and proposes a contingency plan to address the issues during the project. Furthermore, a general overview of the initially foreseen risks of the ToughSteel project is presented, as well as a more detailed description of risk management on a work package level.

For each risk, the impact and the likelihood of occurrence of the risks and the mitigation measures are also defined. The Contingency Plan establishes the preventive or corrective actions to be adopted to reduce the risky character (i.e. from critical to significant) of each item. The risk ownership is established through the role and responsibilities within the consortium.
