ToughSteel partners from Eurecat (David Frómeta) and from CRF (Daniele de Caro) have delivered a presentation under the framework of ToughSteel project activities at the International Automotive Body Congress 2022, celebrated on June 7th-8th in the Polytechnic of Turin (Italy).
The presentation, focusing on high strength steel in the automotive industry and new methods to model sheet metal failure, included the latest innovations in terms of metal sheets for the automotive industry, while the results and research activities of the development of an fracture characterisation for thin metal sheets based on the EWF methodology were presented.

The International Automotive Body Congress provided a forum for engineers, managers, academic researchers, and industry executives to exchange advances in automotive body technology and management systems. It addressed key topics related to OEMs, exterior/interior component manufacturers, stamping manufacturers, sheet metal assemblers, and tool and die manufacturers.
